The activity of decision-based non-objective painting comprises the rhythem of my creative work. I start and work on these paintings with little to no plan (besides a general plan that determines that the result will be a thing that fits into the category "painting"). These works grow by way of an accumulation of aesthetic and anti-aesthetic decisions. At moments in the emergance of a painting I give my attention to the painting as it is and make decisions based on the state of my self being in the presence of the painting.
