plantae

The plantae section is a work in progress. It is organized by family and then species.

Benjamin

This tree was my first Japanese black pine. Until last year I was for the most part letting it grow. Last year (April of 2017) I brought it into a Bonsai intro meeting and was advised to snap the apex and in June of 2017 I cut back all the candles. It is a milestone in my understanding of Bonsai technique.

  • species: Pinus thunbergiana
